Nexar’s Vision AI collision detection model improves the detection of real collisions in your fleet. This feature improves accuracy by analyzing video footage to better identify actual crashes and reduce false alerts.

What Does Vision AI Collision Detection Do?

Vision AI reviews camera footage using advanced AI models to flag real collisions more precisely.

This helps:

• Reduce false positive incident alerts

• Highlight actual impact events

• Improve review efficiency

How to Enable/disable Vision AI Collision Detection?

To enable collision detection:

  1. Go to the More menu on the dash board.

  2. Select AI Features.

  3. Toggle Vision AI detection on or off.

  4. Click Save.

Once enabled, the system will apply Nexar’s Vision AI collision detection mode to your new incidents.

Where to View Vision AI Collision

When a real collision is detected:

• The incident will appear in the Incidents tab.

• Email notifications.

You can review the footage directly from the fleets dashboard.

Managing Email Notifications

Collision detection alerts are enabled by default in Email Notifications and are automatically included in alert communications.

These alerts cannot be disabled, ensuring that real collision events are always reported to designated recipients. This helps maintain visibility into critical incidents and supports timely response when an actual impact is detected.

Important Notes

  • Nexar’s Vision AI collision detection applies to new incidents after activation.

  • The collision alert email notification is enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

  • You can turn the feature off at any time in the AI Features menu.
